Set in a 1909 Colonial-style house, this elegant restaurant oozes romance, thanks to its Victorian décor, candlelight and intimate rooms. Since 1987, Italian Bruno Serato—who was actually born in France—has earned a loyal following for his Northern Italian cuisine with some French items thrown in. Many dishes are named for celebrities (some no longer with us). A poached salmon with white-chocolate-infused mashed potatoes is a popular menu item. A good selection of Californian and European wines pair nicely with the restaurant’s menu.

  What a horrible and disappointing evening at "The White House". Terrible, terrible service and very mediocre food. The waiter(s) were not available, and we could not even get our $300 bill until we walked to the front desk.Had to ask for more bread, which never came. Had to ask for pepper for the salad, no salt on table either. Was waiting to order some coffee and after dinner drinks~ but never saw waiter again!! The worst part is the two at the reservation desk did not even care when we asked for the check and complained about the service!! Don't waste your money!...   Read More
