The Beach Club Grille should be listed under "night life" as well since they have open-mic every Tuesday from 6-10 PM and live music performances every Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I have seen some very talented musicians perform here....   Read More

The Beach Club Grille serves the best breakfast, lunch & dinner a/on the beach. There are Greek, Mexican & American dishes as well as fresh steaks and seafood. Daily specials may include Fish Tacos, Lobster Bisque & Crab Cake Sandwich. The Grille is rapidly gaining the distinction of " Puerto Nuevo NORTE" for the authentic lobster feast they provide which includes chips, salsa, guacamole, Caesar salad, 1.25 lb Spiny Lobster grilled in lemon & bitter, refried beans, spanish rice, warm tortillas, and a Mexican dessert coffee with chocolate liqueur and topped with whipped cream-all for only $24.95. The Beach Club Grille offers free WI FI, HDTV for sports, Free garage parking, live music on weekends, Tuesday Open Mic nite, beer, wine, cocktails, smoothies and Woodies Waterfront Patio Bar on the second floor with the best views of the beach, park and historic pier. Woodies is a great date spot with romantic views, usually a quiet ambiance facilitating conversation, and very reasonable prices especially for being on the beach. Woodies Waterfront Patio Bar is weather dependent since it is open-air. Best bet is to call the Beach Club Grille to insure Woodies Deck is open before making a visit. (619-628-0777). There is also a street front covered patio on the first floor which is "pet friendly". This patio is often preferred when the weather prevents the opening of Woodies Deck. The Greek food is the best anywhere around. The Beach Club Grille, although a very casual beach eatery, makes all their own soups, sauces & most dressings. Best suggested items include: Half pound Steerburger, Greek Salad with charbroiled chicken, half a Greek chicken, Gyros & Souvlaki, & Greek Combination plate which includes greek salad, home made spannikopita, souvlaki (Kabobs-beef, chicken, or both), gyros, Greek rice, toasted pita bread & home made taziiki sauce. The Beach Club Grille also offers several Vegan style dishes including the Greek salad, falafel sandwiches, spannikopia, stuffed grape leaves, stuffed mozzarella sticks, etc. All in all. friendly staff, excellent, fresh food, expansive menu, choice of casual dining venues, wide selection of beverages, free parking, WiFi, HDTV and live music all with very reasonable prices. A small town feel where everyone knows your name.... And one of the few places north of the border to experience authentic "Puerto Nuevo" style Lobster Dinner and for less than it costs to drive to Baja and back....   Read More
