Callender's Grill opened its doors in 1985 and is a sophisticated alternative to the more down-to-earth Marie Callender restaurants. The warm and handsome decor is enhanced by a wonderful mural which captures 1940s L.A. The food here is consistently good. The menu offers great pastas as well as classics, such as the slow-roasted pot roast or the shrimp and chicken jambalaya. Whatever you do, save room for a slice of famous Marie Callender pie. The choices are awesome. There is a full bar and a good wine list.
