You might expect to see Fonzie, Richie and the rest of the gang from "Happy Days" hanging out at this Valley standby. It certainly looks the part. Lots of red booths, retro styling and memorabilia give diners the feeling that they've been transported back in time. No, you can't actually drive up and expect car-hop service at Mel's Drive In, but you can order some of the best milkshakes, fries, burgers and lots of other classic diner fare here. Families love this place; it's a great spot for children's birthday parties too. This is also a great spot for late-night dining; it's open until 1a during the week and until 3a on weekends.
