Overview

The 1987 newspaper reprint on their wall said that in this part of Los Angeles there were ranches and cattle when they opened in 1957. Today they're surrounded by a commercial district, busy boulevard, and views of Warner Center skyscrapers. The only clue of the past is a life-size cow statue, 30 feet in the air! She beckons rush hour commuters to hearty American comfort food; BBQ beans, Texas Chili, Broasted Chicken, Bar-B-Q Ribs, Tri Tip, Cheese Bread, and Garlic Mashed Potato--cooked daily the old-fashioned way.
