Those who know the ins and outs of Silver Lake certainly know about Pho Café. While it's not an attention-grabber—there's no sign, or any indication for that matter, pointing customers to this delicious Vietnamese restaurant, and the décor is extraordinarily simple—the menu is enough to convince locals to keep coming back. Traditional pho (rice noodle soup) and bun (cold vermicelli rice noodles) are the specialties here, with a variety of combinations available. The bun with charbroiled lemongrass steak is a rumored favorite. Munch on a satisfying appetizer of spring rolls before the main course, and don't forget to try one of their Vietnamese or Thai beers—"33 " is a decent rice lager and accompanies the food quite well! Call ahead for hours.
