The Civic Light Opera of the South Bay Cities, which is the largest producing light opera group in Southern California, the Distinguished Speakers Series and a wide variety of major concert performers regularly appear in this venue. Originally built by the community to serve as the auditorium for Aviation High School back between 1971-1982, local residents decided to try to keep the facility open after that school closed.
