Casually perched at the juncture of Glendale Boulevard and Glendale Freeway, this roadside shack may inspire curiosity in some while skepticism in others. But do not be wary of the shabby exterior. Park in the lot and come on in for some hearty Spanish cuisine and good cheer. The rustic interior ties in nicely with the roughly hewn façade. The place is spacious and never crowded. Start out with some tapas while you choose from a variety of paellas on the menu. Blood sausage, anchovies and empanadas are all held in high esteem here. You may choose to wash down your repast with one of the many wines on the list or opt for refreshing homemade sangria. -Jamie Zum
