Steve Allen Theater (The), Los Angeles

Located in an obscure part of the city, the Steve Allen Theater is a blink-and-you-miss-it space but once you've figured it out, the long drive will be well worth it. An intimate theater with friendly staff, and an interesting layout, and very reasonable rates, this venue scores over the other high end ones for its functional simplicity and unusual repertoire. The comedy shows are different, offbeat and definitely not run-of-the-mill like other artistic productions. In addition to theater, DJ sessions and live concerts are also held here.
