Granted, consuming salmon rolls at 3a to the throbbing dubstep while seated in giant gnarled chairs is not everyone's idea of a proper sushi outing. But, if you are into genre-transcending and boundary-blurring experiences or just find yourself craving sushi in the middle of the night in Hollywood, this highly unconventional 24-hour sushi joint just might hit the spot. Located on an artsy stretch of Sunset Boulevard amid boutiques and galleries, the joint esthetically caters to the alternative crowd, but all are welcome. Even though the service may be on the clumsy side and the sushi may not rival the celebrated joints in the area, the place makes up for it with its friendly, casual vibe, agreeable enough flavors and late-night hours, a rare boon.
