Nestled away in downtown LA, inside the historical Alexandria Hotel – resuscitated, but still ghostly – this gem of a restaurant will likely surprise you. Many leave here dazzled and floored by the ecstatic transports delivered onto their palates, determined to come back for more. Happy hour is a particularly clever time slot to enjoy half-price wines and cocktails (assortment changing daily) as well as discounts on their famed gourmet concoctions. Bacon-wrapped matzoh balls, pork bellies and beef tongue rank amongst favorites, while toffee pudding dessert just might send your culinary rapture into the stratosphere.
