Wan Fu China Bistro, Orange County

Since 1991, Wan Fu has been the neighborhood Chinese restaurant in an area that is not very ethnically diverse. Wan Fu's approach to Chinese cuisine is traditional, and you can taste the difference. Your first impression of this rather low-key restaurant would be the traditional Chinese decor: bamboo, lanterns and paintings on the walls and screens provide a cheerful atmosphere. The staff doesn't go out of their way to be extra friendly, but they remember what the regulars like to order, and are very accommodating with menu substitutions. The lunch special is one of the best deals in the South County, and there's free delivery even if your order is small. Don't miss out on the Shanghai Duck appetizer.
