California Crepes, San Diego

Love them or hate them, crepes are showing up on more menus and as a specialty, which is the case at this casual eatery with a great location atop the Horton Plaza Mall. If you're lucky, you may get in on their periodic Dollar Crepe Tuesdays, which offers a selection of savory or sweet crepes for just one dollar. The crepes tend to be more Californian in their toppings and fillings - the only purely French offering is the crepe suzette -  but the crepe itself is a traditional French recipe. Like all Horton Plaza eateries, they will validate your parking. On the dollar specials, they don't take credit cards. They have a limited delivery area downtown and will also cater. -deTraci Regula
