Maloney's Tavern, San Diego

A nice big place to go and let your hair down once in a while—Maloney's Tavern, it's unpretentious with a down to earth crowd and no dress code which is a nice relief. It does get a bit crowded but it's fine if you go a bit early and get in before the crowds do. Maloney's Tavern is also reasonably priced and not a rip off like the many bars you come across in San Diego. It has a huge downstairs area as well as a more hip upstairs area with a patio for smoking. It gets slightly crazy on a weekend with the crowds swarming around the place, but for a weekday night out it's a good, reasonable and fun place to be at.
