Inside, the recently renovated restaurant has abandoned its old 1950s diner atmosphere in favor of dramatic rust-colored walls, and a new wine list offers more choices. But this family-run restaurant continues to offer unique and wholly-Mexican. Fresh made tortilla chips arrive with a thick spicy salsa, a bowl of dangerous jalapenos and slightly milder carrots. For your entree, handmade Chile Rellenos are a good bet.
