The Midway Museum was an amazing place! I really loved it and highly recommend a visit. I strongly recommend that you don't spend more than a 2 hours inside as there is a lot more to see on the flight deck. Once on the deck, you can see quite a selection of different planes and helicopters. Go to the end of the flight deck, and you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one or two active air-craft carriers. I think I saw the USS Ronald Regan and USS Nimtz. You also should get in line early to take one of the tours of the bridge area. One of my favorite rooms on the tour was the dark room with the radar and screens. Maybe called the operations room? My favorite part was actually talking to some of the old pilots and retired navy personnel who answered questions and told some stories of their past experiences. Make sure you go to the Midway Museum while you're visiting San Diego....   Read More
