Overview
The Veterans' Museum and Memorial Center seeks to honor soldiers who died in combat, promote public awareness of those soldiers' sacrifices, and serve as a museum to the public. Inside the museum, which was once the Naval hospital chapel, guests can peruse the museum's collection of memorabilia and documents or peruse more than 1,000 library materials. For those who would like to hear more about the museum, docents lead tours such as the Living History Tour. On the fourth Saturday of every month at 11:30a, Pearl Harbor survivors lead a twenty-one gun salute to San Diego’s veterans. The Veterans' Museum and Memorial Center stands out because it serves all veterans and their families from all military branches. - Erick Pettersen
