Jazz music has found a rather unusual home in San Francisco in the form of a former mortuary. Named as The Chapel, the venue was inaugurated with the soothing performance of the The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and other groups in October 2012. Just like a choir of a chapel, this venue has awesome acoustics and the accompanying sound technology enhances the fun of listening to music. A restaurant next to the hall is where where you can walk in before or after a performance and relish on the European delicacies and wine. The efforts put in by Jack Knowles, the brains behind the venue, has borne fruit as the venue has garnered enough following for the concerts held here. Apart from the jazz live music, other forms of popular music also find home at this quirky little gem on the Valencia Street. Check out their calender to know about the forthcoming concerts.
