Hidden Vine , San Francisco

Located in back of the Old Fitzgerald Hotel, with an alley entrance and descending staircase, this cozy little wine bar is fast becoming a favorite among Bay Area wine lovers, connoisseurs and amateurs. The Hidden Wine was placed on the SF Bay Guardian's "Best of the Bay 2007" list, and you can see why upon entering. Visitors love the comfortable atmosphere with its deep cushy couches, richly-colored decor and soft candle light. They are equally taken with the unimposing warmth of the two owners, who share their love and knowledge of fine wines with quiet enthusiasm. Each month, the Hidden Vine features wines from different regions, always keeping some excellent Californian varieties in stock. Fine cheeses, charcuterie and chocolates are served as well.
