Overview
This small park near the Embarcadero Center is popular with office-goers who stop by to hang out during breaks and catch some fresh air. The central attraction is the rather curious-looking Vaillancourt Fountain created by noted sculptor Armand Vaillancourt. This behemoth structure looks like an art-installation comprising entangled piles of concrete blocks in varying shapes. The Justin Herman Plaza always seems to be bustling with the frenetic activity of pigeons flying around and kids playing with employees on their lunch break. A nice place to go to if you're bored and want to indulge in a bout of people-watching.
