Chef Andrew Gillen has had an eclectic cooking career, which may be the reason he bills his artistically cutting-edge bistro as the home of eclectic cuisine. With a resume that includes time at some very famous places and and cooking for James Brown and Jerry Garcia, he has created a fun establishment that combines classic American cuisine with an atmosphere that is funky and fun. The menu is an appealingly oddball mix. Find catfish fried in a peppery beer batter, Southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese served with tater tots. Find potato croquettes in an 'Asiago' sauce and fish tacos with papaya salsa. The hip wait staff is fun while getting the food service job done right.
