  • Day 2
  • 1 Take the 16th Street Mall bus across town to get your bearings.
  • 2 Get lunch at one of the restaurants on the Mall.
  • 3 Take the shuttle to the Capitol for the free tour.
  • 4 Have an easy dinner at Trattoria Stella in the Highlands.
  • Day 3
  • 1 After breakfast, head to Golden for the day, browing the shops along Washington Avenue.
  • 2 Head back to downtown Denver for dinner at Tamayo.
  • Day 4
  • 1 Head to the Denver Zoo.
  • 2 Pack a picnic lunch or buy lunch at the zoo.
  • 3 Head back for dinner at the Phoenician Kabob.
  • Day 5
  • 1 Drive out to the small town of Morrison and visit the nearby Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
  • 2 Have lunch at one of the tiny restaurants in Morrison.
  • 3 Stop at one of the parks in Morrison and hike along the creek.
  • 4 Head back to Denver for dinner at Mizuna.
