The entrance to the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver is impossible to miss, thanks to the huge blue bear statue peering into its windows from the outside. Blue Bear, also known as "I See What You Mean," is a 40-foot tall sculpture created by Lawrence Argent and installed at the Convention Center in 2005. Within months Blue Bear became an icon of the Mile High City, despite mixed reception from residents and critics, to the point where it has become a local challenge to take the most creative photos with the bear. Blue Bear even has its own game on the Convention Center website! Kitschy and fun, Blue Bear is a welcoming site for anyone visiting Denver. -Sabrina Zirakzadeh
