Aegean Taverna, Washington DC

This restaurant, located in the Clarendon section of Arlington, serves home-cooked Greek dishes including Moussaka and Spinach Pie. As an appetizer, sample traditional Tzatziki—a yogurt dip, or Dolmadakia—stuffed grape leaves. Meats are delicately seasoned and grilled and served with pita bread or french fries. There is also a selection of vegetarian entrees. A live band plays on weekends and often guests get up to dance. The owners have been known to invite the children up to learn traditional Greek line dancing. A full bar, which includes Greek wines, is also available. There are also private rooms available for 60 to 120 guests. There is no charge for the rooms.
