Overview

Penn Quarter plays host to this street festival devoted to fine art, quirky crafts, performance pieces, and hands-on activities. A venerable fair, and Arts on Foot is no exception, isn't complete without a smattering of live music and street foods. The organizers take it a step further, though, with samplings from DCs most beloved restaurants, wine tastings, and distinctive entertainment options (think: programming from trapeze artists, nearby museums, dance troupes, and much more).

Chinatown is a neighborhood of the hustling and the bustling city of Washington. From coffee houses like Starbucks to Legal Sea Foods, you have it all in this place. After under-going major renovation in 2006, it has become one of the hip and happening venue for nightlife. Movie theaters and high-end shopping boutiques attracts young and chic crowd. True to its name, most of the businesses have their hoardings in Chinese. Ardent sports fans visit the Verizon Sports Arena, which is home to the Washington Wizards of the NBA. You can get to see the blend of tradition and modernity in this uber cool area.
