Technically, its name is 'Oxford Tavern', but everyone in the city knows this little joint by its 'Zoo Bar' moniker, the result of its proximity to the National Zoo. This is a no-nonsense, refreshingly laid-back establishment. Locals enjoy coming here on the weekends to hear live music, on Tuesday, affectionately dubbed 'Pitcher Night', the main attraction is the cheap pitchers of beer.
