Disney Cruise OVERVIEW
Disney Cruise Line delivers the best family cruising experience at sea, with kids from age 3 months to 17 years immersed in activities that include Disney characters and adults taking the opportunity to relax. The four ships -- two “classic” and two newer -- carry 2,700 to 4,000 passengers (numbers that assume kids in the cabin) and embrace both Disney nostalgia and state-of-the-art technology. The ships have the best at-sea kids’ facilities, the best family-friendly shows, an unusual rotation dining system (designed to keep kids from getting bored), show first-run Disney movies (even the ones in 3-D) and provide an overall premium, albeit a bit noisy resort-like experience. Staterooms are designed for families and are larger than the industry standard. Water fun includes the only watercoasters at sea, waterslides and character-themed splash areas. Disney recently became the first cruise line to have lifeguards at its main pools. Adults can hang out in nightclubs, at an adults-only pool ...See More and in a topflight spa (Disney purposely omits casinos from its list of amenities), which also has facilities for teens. Everyone has opportunity to ooh and ah at frequent appearances by Mickey and Minnie and Disney royalty. Bonus: The only way you can visit the highly popular Disney-owned Bahamas island, Castaway Cay, is on a Disney ship. See Less
