Blowing Rocks Nature Preserve is a barrier island sanctuary on the outer side of Jupiter Island, just a couple of miles north of the town. Operated by The Nature Conservancy, it gives locals and visitors a chance to see spectacular, rocky scenery at a pristine breakwater and turtle nesting ground. It's also at the southern tip of the Indian River Lagoon, which stretches over 156 miles of shoreline land. Day use fees are USD2 for adults, free for children 12 and under.
