Green Gables Café, Miami

Owned and run by a mother-daughter team, Green Gables is a place where you can get your food with complete certainty that the earth is being respected: paper products are recyclable and containers are biodegradable. All products used are organic and they are careful not to use anything artificial. Nothing is fried and they use roasted eggplant instead of bacon. The roasted and pulled turkey breast is a signature dish and very good, served with avocado and cilantro aioli on whole wheat bread. Try the baked crab and panko cake served on salad greens with ginger dressing. The gazpacho has ground almonds and is served cold. For dessert try the coco-cacao macaroon: coconut and raw chocolate.
