Marinheiro, Miami

In a city like Miami, where Latin and Spanish restaurants abound, a Portuguese restaurant is a welcome addition. Marinheiro's decoration is understated and the locale is rather large. The view from the large windows is breathtaking: Biscayne Bay curving towards Brickell on one side and Downtown on the other. Sunsets are gorgeous from the small terrace, where you can have a drink. Even though it lacks a focus on authentic Portuguese cuisine, the place has a few dishes that deserve a second taste: baby clams in olive oil, garlic and cilantro sauce, fresh codfish croquettes, black-eyed bean salad and grilled giant tiger shrimps.
