The Omphoy, a sister property of the Brazilian Court, doesn’t get much press, but there’s much to like about this chic, comfortable place. It’s as modern as The Breakers is historic, all clean lines and sharp angles with a minimum of ornament and a maximum of cool. There are covered yoga pavilions and wood-slatted cabanas around the pool. Recent specials mean rooms that are normally $219 are going for $153. For that you get a panoramic water view, an on-site, full-service spa with a 1,200 square foot mind-body studio, a golf course and direct access to the beach, plus lovely grounds with meditation areas surrounded by fragrant tropical flowers and fountains. Celebrated chef and James Beard award-winner Michelle Bernstein—culinary royalty in South Florida—captains the terrace dining room and oceanfront restaurant.
