Experience Florida's forest at this state park just over an hour from Panama City. Located three miles south of Chipley, Falling Waters is home to Falling Waters Sink, the state's highest waterfall. Take the beautiful Sink Hole trail to see water cascade into a stream that plummets 73 feet to the bottom, after which the water's destination remains a mystery. Don't miss the butterfly garden, featuring both indigenous and non-native species. Take a swim in the lake or have a picnic. The park features full-facility campsites as well as pavilions that seat dozens of visitors. Admission fees are $4 per vehicle, $1 for each additional passenger or for pedestrians or cyclists. Camping fees are $15 year-round. Check the website for information on reserving a large pavilion space. It is open daily from 8 am onwards.
