Ruby's Elixir, Tampa/St. Petersburg

Ruby's Elixir is a far cry from the usual club lounges and uber cool nightclubs. This bar and club takes you right to the 1950s, where pin-up themes dominated the scene. The club literally keeps its doors open for all and there is no barrier between the inside and outdoor patio; dark lighting within and bright exteriors give you best of both the worlds. Ruby's owners clearly want to focus on providing a space to patrons, where they can enjoy live music or carry on with casual conversations. Though primarily it features live jazz and blue music concerts, other genres are played here too. Cocktails, beers, liquors and other drinks further add to the fun mood.
