Adding a little cultural diversity to the area, Ichiyo Art Center began as a Japanese flower shop, and has grown to become the premier local center for Japanese art classes. Ichiyo offers workshops in such disciplines as Feng Shui, origami, calligraphy, yoga, bookbinding and washi dollmaking. Price and length of courses vary, but each class provides an intimate, hands-on experience of Japanese arts and crafts. The retail store has been closed, but check their website to purchase supplies and books through their online store.
