Across the street from Ellis Square and walking distance from all the best Historic District sights, this new hotel is a beacon of contemporary design in a sea of antebellum architecture. The 151 rooms are slickly decorated in blues and browns, with crisp white sheets and geometric headboards. Higher rooms have better views over the nearby parks. The hotel restaurant and wine bar attract a crowd of well-heeled, well-dressed travelers who enjoy a quieter evening than the crowded taverns of River Street. The second-floor terrace, with an outdoor pool, wicker lounge chairs and a fire pit, is the hotel's definite ace in the hole.
