Converted to a state park in 1947, 33 structures have been restored in the 250-acre historic district as museums, art galleries, shops, and restaurants along with the grand Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Marvels of wealth and architecture, the magnificent winter homes of Rockefeller, Morgan, Aster, Pulitzer, Vanderbilt, Macy and Goodyear are open to the public. The island offers family-friendly escapes with nature trails, golf, tennis, camping and 10 miles of beach. It's a rewarding step back in time.

  I have traveled extensively & Jekyll Island is my favorite place in the universe. I always feel at peace there & there is a saying that once your feet touch the sands of Jekyll Island, you will always return. This must be true since I have been there countless times since the first time my feet touched the sand over thirty years ago.
