Hamakua Sports Bar, Hawai'i (Big Island)

The Hamakua Coast is steeped in a rich farming and ranching history. The town of Honoka'a is small and friendly with an atmosphere that is filled with charm and character. Along the main street on the makai (ocean) side just about halfway between the library and the Historic People’s Theater is the liveliest spot in town, the Hamakua Sports Bar. The Western exterior is genuine, as are the locals who frequent for live satellite feeds of University of Hawaii sports, cold beer and lots of local socializing. Street parking is free and plentiful as is the live local entertainment on most nights.
