Overview

Located along Alii Drive in Kona, this beach is one of the more popular in Kona. Although this county beach is far from grand in size, it offers wonderful snorkeling and swimming along with a host of amenities for the beach goer. Along with the spectacular gray sand and small shoreline, there are picnic tables, restrooms, showers and lifeguards. The beach is always quite busy and the small parking lot fills up quickly and early. Tourists from nearby timeshares and hotels gather for snorkeling, while surfers are visible and abundant when the waves are breaking just right. Arrive early to avoid crowds.
