Overview

Casual and cheery, this mauka (mountain) side café along Hawaii Belt Road is a haven for quick bites and sweets. The delightful atmosphere and small town charm puts this café on the short list when it comes to light lunches in South Kona. Owners Cathy and Mike Harber, who hail from the California Sierra foothills, put forth some of the best gourmet sandwiches around. Made with bread freshly baked on-site, the pastrami is a knockout. The cheesecakes and quiches, both of which are great takeaway items for later enjoyment, are absolutely heaven. Street parking is plentiful and free.
