Cholo's Mexican, Honolulu

Hawaii has always been a place where good Mexican food is, well, a challenge to find. Some places come and go so quickly that one can hardly finish a Margarita before the place is closing up shop. But, the North Shore's romance with all things Mexican has proven to be this restaurant's gold mine. Open for many years, this cozy little spot in Haleiwa has been a favorite of area locals for family dinners, dates, drinks and more. It's small, and the seating outside proves to be the best spot in the cooler evenings while the inside tables are best for lunch.
