Crepe Café , Honolulu

For those expecting fabulously elegant French sophistication, perhaps another spot may be more appropriate. Located in what used to be a gas station, this casual and unpretentious café has transformed this service office into the proverbial silk purse, French silk, no less. Colorful murals and funky chic decor give this spot a charming and cozy atmosphere. The menu of sweet and savory crepes is mainstream without any huge leaps of creativity, but, for a neighborhood that is new to crepes, it is a good start. The Le Moulin Rouge is a simple but fabulous choice. Filled with cheese, chicken, tomato and basil, it is simple, tasty and satisfying. -Lottie Tagupa
