Da Kitchen Cafe, Honolulu

With several successful eateries on Maui, Da Kitchen has finally jumped the Kaiwi Channel and set up digs in Moiliili near the University of Hawaii. The style is local, casual and affordable. The menu offers a wide selection of island standards like chicken katsu and hamburger steak plate lunches, sandwiches and teri-everything and anything. All are done well and served with style at prices that will make anyone cheer. Located across the street from the old stadium park in what locals know to be the St. Louis Alumni Hall, street parking is available as a secondary option to the tiny parking lot. -Lottie Tagupa
