Overview

All that is left of the vast Dole Plantation is a pictorial display of the pineapple's history and a country store offers fresh pineapples and gifts. In the back, nearly two acres of rich, red earth have been turned into one of the world's largest mazes with a path 1.7 miles long. It is built from 11,400 tropical plants, including hibiscus and fragrant plumeria; in the center is a garden in the form of a golden pineapple.

  Maze is fun. Has a train ride as well, where you can see a bunch of the different tropical fruit plants. They also give cool pineapple tips on how to cut and serve pineapple. We got the fresh cut pineapple with pineapple ice cream/sorbet, which was also good. When we went, there was a farmers market at the plantation selling a variety of non-pineapple tropical fruits like coconut/papaya/suger cane, which were worth the high price. For regular food I would recommend Opal's Thai Food, which is a food truck on the Highway near North beach....   Read More
