Honolulu Surfing Museum

It’s really a bar dressed up like a museum, but for whatever that’s worth, it’s a great spot to take in some surfing history and enjoy the surfing memorabilia before throwing down a quick cold beer or umbrella drink and then moving on to the beach. It’s associated with Jimmy Buffet’s restaurant next door, and since Hawaii takes it’s surfing seriously, it is quite appropriate for a small quiet corner to have been set aside for those who worship at the foot of the waves and all who ride them. The atmosphere is colorful and comfortable and most importantly, it’s a short walk to the beach. -Lottie Tagupa
