Ko’Olina Lagoons, Honolulu

This series of several man-made lagoons are a perfect spot for area locals and visitors to enjoy white sandy shores and warm, clear conditions that are safe for small children and novice swimmers. The area fronts several hotels including the JW Marriot, the Marriott Grand Vacations Club, and the soon-to-open Disney resort. On weekdays, the beach is quiet and parking is plentiful, but on weekends and especially long holiday weekends, the parking lot often fills quickly and is monitored closely by area security.
