Matsumoto's Shave Ice, Honolulu

Among the many always-welcome visitors, Matsumoto's has hosted movie stars, rock stars, pro-athletes and more. Photos of Adam Sandler and others hang on the walls. Shaved ice is a Hawaiian tradition, and nobody does it better than Matsumoto's. This is no snow cone; it comes in dozens of tasty flavors and a wide variety of add-on items. Lines are long, but it's well worth the wait. Try ice cream on the bottom; it's a local favorite. They have an old-town style retail shop for all sorts of things Hawaiian, like shirts and stickers.
