Overview

Located along the sunny leeward coast about a scenic 90 minutes from Honolulu, this beach offers sunny skies, a sandy shoreline well protected from rip tides, and open ocean swells. This lifeguarded beach has an ample shady parking lot, restrooms, showers and picnic areas. On weekdays, the beach is quiet with just a few local residents who come to swim or exercise. On weekends, the scene includes birthday celebrations and other family gatherings. This beach is a the perfect vantage point to watch stand-up paddle-boarders, afternoon canoe club practice sessions, fishing boats and sailboats. - Lottie Tagupa
