The island of Lana'i not only promotes art among local and visiting adults, it also promotes it to youngsters. The weekly Kid's Art Club, held every Monday and Wednesday throughout the school year at the downtown Lanai Art Center, allows kids to create their own artworks in a fun, friendly, relaxed environment. Local volunteers supervise. Kids are encouraged to attend as often as possible; memberships are available for purchase. This program is sponsored by the Lana'i Art Program, the same organization that offers onsite art and craft workshops for tourists.
