Hana Bay Picnics, Maui

Located in the old plantation town of Paia, this eatery is hard to miss. In the morning, tourists gather to order take-out picnic lunches to later enjoy at wayside parks along the road to Hana. Picnic selections range widely from ham and cheese to smoked salmon, and include a sandwich, salad, chips and cookie for less than the price of a fast-food meal. Parking can be a challenge here since Paia is more like a Hana Highway staging area than a sleepy beach town, so allow a few extra minutes to find a spot.
