Moana Café, Maui

Located on the Mauka edge of town in wonderful Paia, this restaurant is just far enough away from the Hana highway to keep it special, enjoyable and not overrun by tourists. A plantation era building is home to this cafe and bakery where there are views of Baldwin Avenue and there is something going on all the time. The cafe offers variety in choice and lots of it. From freshly baked treats and desserts to sushi, pastas, salads and brunch, the patron will walk away satisfied. In the evenings there is live music and cocktails. Although there is street parking down the road and a few stalls adjacent to the building, parking can still be a bit tight. -Lottie Tagupa
